Cat With 2 Noses Was Saved From Death Row

Black and white cat with two noses wearing a bowtie

Meet Memphis, the cat with two noses that owes his life to The Odd Cat Sanctuary. Memphis was surrendered to a rescue group in Salem, MA when his owners were no longer able to care for him. Although he was healthy, the shelter was threatening to euthanize him. That’s when a volunteer with The Odd Cat Sanctuary heard about his plight and contacted Tara, the founder of TOCS. She immediately offered to help, bringing him into the sanctuary.

MEMPHIS’ ABNORMALITIES MAKE HIM CHARMING!

He was born with deformed soft palate, smushed face and a cleft lip. Both noses are functional. He does breathe louder and snores! But he does great,” Tara told Love Meow.

Most importantly, Memphis’ abnormalities do not bother him and he is completely comfortable. But also, look at that little goatee and those freckles!

THE ODD CAT SANCTUARY’S MISSION IS TO HELP ODD CATS

Reasons cats come into the sanctuary could be because of their abnormalities, health issues, death row inmates, seniors or other reasons. “Our volunteers are always on the look out and step up when a cat is in need of a safe place for being different,” Tara added.

MEMPHIS LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT BUT HE’S JUST LIKE ANY OTHER CAT.

Memphis is also becoming quite the Instagram star with his follower count over 18.6 thousand. He’s super affectionate, purrs heavily, and has been known to make little chirpy noises. Any family will be lucky to have him. Memphis is currently living with a foster family and is up for adoption into a forever home.

The Odd Cat Sanctuary is primarily foster based and volunteer driven. Their organization relies heavily on donations and contributions.
